Bulgarian wines bearing Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) and Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) labels were proudly featured at the Japan International Food and Beverage Expo (FOODEX Japan), alongside high-quality products from Lithuania, as part of the EU’s #DOLIKEEU2 initiative.
The event, which is one of Asia’s premier platforms for food and beverage innovation, brought together industry professionals and wine enthusiasts from around the globe to explore European excellence in wine, food, and drink.
The participation of Bulgarian wineries at FOODEX Japan underscores their growing presence in the Asian market, where demand for high-quality European wines is steadily increasing. The PDO and PGI labels guarantee the authenticity and regional origin of the wines, ensuring that consumers experience the true essence of Bulgaria’s winemaking heritage.
Alongside Bulgaria, Lithuania, another partner of the #DOLIKEEU2 project, also participated in the expo, presenting a range of products that highlight the diversity and quality of European offerings.
